Looking for a Google Pixel Alternative Without a Camera Bump for Gaming

-

I’m a fan of the Google Pixel, but I’m not keen on the camera bump it has. I’m on the lookout for a smartphone that’s smooth on the back and also delivers a good gaming experience. Any recommendations?

If you’re focused on both gaming and avoiding the bump, you might have to compromise a little. Most phone cameras these days just come with the territory. Still, the Xiaomi Mi series could be worth looking into; they have good internals for gaming and their camera designs might be a bit more low-profile than others.

Getting a phone these days without a camera bump is pretty rare, especially with all the features they cram into them. You might have better luck looking at older models that didn’t have such pronounced bumps. Maybe explore the Pixel 4a or devices around that era. What’s important is figuring out what exactly you need for gaming—does it need a specific processor or screen size?

Considering you like the Google Pixel, but want it flatter in the back, maybe look at phones from brands like Samsung or OnePlus. They’ve got some models with less noticeable bumps and strong gaming performance. It’d really help to know what features you can’t live without, like battery life or screen refresh rate!

I’m mostly concerned about keeping a sleek design and having enough power under the hood for gaming!

You’ll struggle to find something bump-free as the camera tech in phones has really taken the spotlight. But, for a phone with a more subtle bump that still performs well for gaming, you might want to try out the Asus ROG Phone series. They’re gaming-centric, but you’d have to see one in person to check the camera design.
