I’m planning a campaign set in Spain during the Napoleonic wars and need some help picking a suitable system. The main requirements are that it must be available on Foundry VTT and it can’t be Savage Worlds. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Finding a solid game for the Napoleonic era is tough; I can only think of a few and none have great Foundry support. It might be best to fall back on a generic system that you like. Just make it your own!
Don’t forget to browse through our Game Recommendations page to explore options categorized by genre and system type! It might give you some fresh ideas. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically.*
You might want to check out Mythras! It’s flexible and while the core rules have a default ‘bronze age’ vibe, you can easily adapt it to your historical setting. The implementation on Foundry is solid, plus there’s a free version called Mythras Imperative that’s user-friendly.
Thanks! I’ll definitely take a look at that.
There’s also a GURPS sourcebook for the Napoleonic wars, and I’ve heard GURPS has some solid Foundry modules. You’d probably need to adapt some elements from the sourcebook though.
You could go for Duty & Honor or Beat to Quarters and create your own character sheet using the Sandbox System Builder. That might fit your needs well!
I’d suggest Honour + Intrigue—although I’m not sure how well it works on Foundry since I don’t use that platform. But there are DIY setups available online if you look around!
What exactly will your players be doing in this setting? Understanding that could help narrow down choices. Also, why is Foundry VTT a must for you? Details would help us recommend better options!
They’ll be playing as soldiers in the war, likely light infantry or cavalry. I prefer using Foundry for running games.
Yeah, you’re right. Seems like a tricky situation!
