I’ve been playing Rocket League on Steam since 2018, but after Epic took over, I got locked out of my account. They created an Epic account for me without my permission, and now when I try to log back in, I get a message asking for an email that I don’t recognize. I’ve only ever used three email addresses, and none of them work. After talking with their support team, they weren’t helpful at all. They said I have to start a recovery request for an email I’ve never heard of. Has anyone else dealt with this? Is there any way I can legally fix this situation?

I totally get your frustration! First off, check your spam folder for any recovery emails. If that doesn’t work, make sure to submit a detailed support ticket to Epic. Mention specific times and dates to improve your chances. I’ve had similar issues, and it can take a while, but keep following up every few days. Just remember to provide proof of your account ownership, like receipts or the original account details. Good luck!
Honestly, screw Epic for making it so complicated. I had a similar problem, and there’s no easy fix, but keep pushing with the support tickets. Be polite but firm, and hopefully, they can clarify what’s going on. Sometimes they can be helpful if you keep showing up in the support queue.
Yeah, I agree! Just don’t spam them too much; you want to stay on their nice side.
This is such a hassle! I had to create a throwaway email just to get through Epic’s process. So, if you can, set up a new email and link that to your Steam account, then try to connect it to your Epic account. I went through this as well; it’s a pain, but it worked for me!
Thanks! I’ll give that a shot. Sounds like it’s worth a try to just get back in.
Yeah, persistence is key! It took me weeks once, but they eventually sorted it out. Just don’t get discouraged!
