I just bought an Asus TUF A15 sporting a Ryzen 7-7435 and RTX 4060 but couldn’t wait for the 50 series. I’m wondering if there are any pre-installed apps that I should consider removing, apart from the antivirus? Also, how does it compare to my older model with a GTX 1650?

Definitely always have your charger at hand since that CPU is missing an integrated GPU. Without it, the dedicated GPU will be used for everything, which means your battery is gonna run out sooner, even with light tasks. If you’re keeping it plugged in most of the time, at least you’ll avoid this issue.
If you’ve got Windows on that laptop, consider doing a clean install. It really helps you ditch the bloatware and just keep the drivers and programs you actually need. Just a heads-up, the Ryzen 7-7435 doesn’t have an integrated GPU, so keep your charger nearby because it’s gonna drain the battery quicker than you’d expect.
Congrats on the new laptop! Little tip: if battery life is a big deal for you, steer clear of the Ryzen 7-7435 since it lacks the integrated GPU. But hey, if it’s always going to be plugged in, then you’re all set.
Honestly, no need to feel bad for skipping the 50 series. The current lineup isn’t all that—people are saying that the 4090 pretty much outperforms the 5080 right now. So, you’re good with what you’ve got! Also, try out MSI Afterburner to keep track of your FPS and get Steam for all your games, if you haven’t already.
