Just Finished RE2R - Should I Play Claire's Story as New Game or 2nd Run?

-

I finally completed Resident Evil 2 Remake after trying to get into the series for ages. I’ve had RE2R and RE7 for years without finishing them, but the new Resident Evil 9 announcement pushed me to play through 7, then 8, and now I’m done with 2R. Since I’ve just experienced Leon’s story, I’m curious about how to approach Claire’s campaign. Should I go with a standard New Game or should I try the 2nd Run option?

Definitely go for the 2nd Run option if you can! It really spices things up and you get a different perspective with some new segments. Plus, it’s shorter and more intense, not to mention you get access to the true final boss. Just keep in mind that while Leon and Claire’s campaigns have similarities, there are some cool differences! You’ll have a blast with it!

Great, thanks for the tip! I’m really excited to try it out.

2nd Run is definitely the way to go. It makes the experience a bit more thrilling with altered segments and gives you that adrenaline rush. If you enjoyed the gameplay from Leon’s side, Claire’s story will feel fresh! Also, just a heads up, you should check out Resident Evil 4 afterward; it’s a fan favorite and retains that survival horror vibe while adding more action!

Okay cool, thanks! I’m actually working through the original RE4 right now. It’s slow but I’m definitely having fun, despite struggling with the controls a bit.
