Hey everyone! I just snagged the Holy Fire for 20k from another player. I’ve been playing as a melee character since level 1, but at 170 now, I’m getting a bit bored and want to change things up a bit. I know it’s not smart to go into raids with just melee, so I’m looking for a good secondary weapon to use. I can craft the Cremator, and I also have a .50 cal machine gun that has some good effects, including vampire. I want to keep my strength at 15 or above, but I could really use some tips on perk cards and a list of decent weapons. I’ve been hearing that plasma weapons are super popular, but I’d like to try something that’s not so common. Thanks for any advice!

You overpaid for that gun, but just enjoy it! As long as you’re having fun, that’s what matters. Next time, try not to spend that much though—lots of good deals out there! Maybe keep an eye out for events in the future where you could score something for free.
I used to be all melee too, but I switched to a sniper rifle and it’s super fun! It gives you room to breathe and hit enemies from a distance. But if you want to keep the action close, go for a ballistic weapon alongside those flames. Maybe something like a lever-action rifle or a shorter range assault rifle could do the trick while you get used to your new loadout.
I get it, but sniping feels too slow for my playstyle—just spent 20k on the Holy Fire!
Wow, 20k is a bit steep for that! Holy Fire is a solid choice though. It’s usually an event drop and can go for around 2-5k caps at max. I’d recommend checking out player houses for better deals next time! If you ever get the chance to trade for a Gatling Plasma, those things can really wreck enemies and are perfect for raids.
Honestly, it’s easy to get caught up in a panic buy. Next time, just look around a bit more first!
I think it’s great you’re trying to switch it up! The Holy Fire pairs super well with the Cremator if you set it up right. I’d suggest using the multi-barrel on the Cremator for better fuel efficiency while tagging distant enemies, and then let the Holy Fire handle the close quarters. Just a heads-up, for raids, you might want to think about a dedicated set up since melee can be limited at higher levels! Good luck!
That sounds fun! Just make sure you’ve got some variety in your build too.
Yeah, definitely learned that the hard way this time!
