Hey everyone! I just jumped into the remastered version of the game and created a pure mage character focused on all schools of magic plus alchemy. Now I’m at level 32, and all those skills hit 100. I’m curious if anyone else has gone through the same experience and how they chose to change things up after maxing out. Should I finish the main story quests first with this role before switching to a different play style, or is it worth leveling up some minor skills? I’ve made it to the Cloud Ruler Temple with Martin and completed most faction quests except for the Fighter’s Guild. Any thoughts? Thanks!

I had a sword/shield character and always blasted enemies with shock spells before charging in! Magic is pretty easy to level, and it makes for a fun playstyle. If you haven’t tried a hybrid class yet, it could be a blast!
If you’re getting bored with being a mage, I say go ahead and max out everything! It’s great to experiment with different skills and playstyles. Plus, you can always explain it in-game that your character is growing beyond his comfort zone, like a mage wanting to escape guild politics!
In the remaster, you can level up other skills without necessarily needing to create a new character, so it’s totally viable to keep going with this mage. Just enjoy the game and focus on quests that interest you!
It really depends on whether you’re feeling bored with being a pure mage. If you are, I suggest wrapping up the story as a mage before trying something new, like a hybrid build or even a fresh character. Magic levels pretty fast, so switching gears can keep things fresh. Just remember, games are about having fun, so if it starts to feel repetitive, mix it up!
Yeah, magic just flies up in levels! I had a similar experience; switching playstyles keeps the game exciting.
Honestly, hitting skill level 100 is just the start for you! You can play around with wacky custom spells to keep it interesting. I’ve never played a mage before, and experimenting has been a blast—try out some complex spells! You may find new ways to enjoy this character before switching.
I see what you mean—thanks! I wasn’t sure if it would set me back too much to switch to armor or melee skills after focusing on magic, but maybe it’s time to give it a shot.
