I’ve connected my Playstation Portal to my PS5 and linked it through an Ethernet cable providing over 200 mbps. However, when I’m at work, I can’t play my games as it fails to connect. I’ve spent more effort troubleshooting this than actually playing games. The updates from Playstation seemed promising, leading me to purchase it, but now it seems like a frustrating investment. Does anyone have suggestions or solutions that worked for them? I’m especially eager to play Marvel Rivals!

The Ethernet cable at home stabilizes your PS5’s connection, but it doesn’t impact the Portal when you’re away from home. It’s dependent on the WiFi network you’re using at your workplace. Make sure your work WiFi is up to snuff, or maybe try using a mobile hotspot to see if it makes a difference.
First off, check if your PS5 is on or just in rest mode when you’re trying to connect from work. Also, “won’t connect” is a bit vague. It might be worth checking if any system updates are pending that could be affecting the connection.
