Hey folks! I’m encountering some frustrating issues trying to launch Battle.net through Steam Proton on my Fedora KDE system. Sometimes it works, but most of the time, it just won’t launch at all. I really don’t want to keep rebooting my machine in hopes that it magically launches. Has anyone else faced similar problems? Battle.net was previously running fine on Lutris, but after a recent update, I had to switch to using Steam and Proton 10. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Switching to Proton 10 in Lutris has worked for me since the update. I also recommend enabling “use system wine trunks” which could help things run more smoothly. Give that a shot!
You might want to consider using an older version of Proton instead of always jumping to the latest one. It’s a good idea to check Proton DB to see which version is best for Battle.net – there’s a good chance you’ll find a version that works more consistently for others.
I’ve had a similar issue, and switching to Proton 10 in Lutris with system wine has made it functional again for me. Worth a try!
