Hey everyone! I’ve been an Xbox player forever and now want to switch over to PC gaming. I found a PC on the marketplace with some impressive specs, but I’m pretty new to the PC world aside from knowing a bit about GPUs. The build includes an Intel i7-13700F CPU, a 360mm liquid cooler from HP Omen, MSI PRO Z690-A WIFI motherboard, 64GB of DDR5 5200 RAM, a 2TB MSI M480 SSD, an HP Omen GeForce RTX 4080 Super GPU with 16GB VRAM, a new Thermaltake View 380 XL ARGB case, Seasonic 850W PSU, ten 120mm ARGB fans, Windows 11 activated, and WiFi-ready with antenna. My main goal is to run high-demand games like DayZ, Battlefield, Escape from Tarkov, and Ready or Not at high settings. Does this look like the right setup? Any tips or advice appreciated!

My only suggestion is to double-check the warranty and return policies from the seller before committing. Specs-wise, this is a beast and should match or outpace new systems easily for your gaming needs.
That setup is definitely powerful — maybe even a bit overkill for some of the games you mentioned. The i7-13700F paired with an RTX 4080 Super and 64GB of DDR5 RAM will breeze through almost anything you throw at it. For the games you want to play, this rig will handle max settings and high frame rates with ease.
Just keep in mind, buying a prebuilt or marketplace PC might be more expensive than building one yourself with similar specs. But if you’re not comfortable building a PC, this looks like a solid rig that won’t need upgrading for a long time.
Honestly, for gaming, 64GB of RAM is quite a lot since most games don’t even come close to needing that much. You could easily get by with 16-32GB and still have some headroom for multitasking. But the rest of the specs, especially the CPU and GPU, are great for high-end gaming and future-proofing your setup.
Good to know! I guess I could think about selling some RAM sticks if I don’t need that much, huh?
This rig will rock DayZ, Tarkov, and Battlefield at high settings with solid FPS. The 850W Seasonic Gold PSU and liquid cooling will keep everything stable even under heavy load. Plus, the multiple ARGB fans are great if you want low temps and a cool look. Overall, no red flags here for what you want to do.

Thanks! When you say overkill, do you think a less powerful GPU or less RAM would still deliver a solid experience?
