I’m considering getting an Xbox Series S, but I’m unsure if it’s actually worth the investment. Could anyone share their thoughts on whether this console is a good choice or if I should look for something else?

Yes, I think it’s worth it! It’s a powerful little machine, especially with backward compatibility. Plus, its compact size makes it super convenient for traveling.
Honestly, I’d recommend getting the Series X instead of the S. The performance difference is quite significant, and if you want to play the latest games at their best, it’s worth the extra cash.
As a Series S owner myself, I have to say it’s starting to show its age. While it was okay during the cross-gen phase, the limitations in resolution and frame rates are becoming pretty noticeable with new games. I regret buying a couple of titles like Monster Hunter Wilds and Final Fantasy 16 for it. I’d suggest either spending a bit more for a Series X or even going for a PS5 instead.

At its current retail price, I wouldn’t say the Series S is worth it. It was a fantastic deal at launch, but now you can get a PS5 digital edition for just a bit more, which offers better value. Just recently, I saw the Series S priced at around $379 on sale; for a little extra, you could get more performance with a PS5.
