I’m curious if anyone has experience playing the Swashbuckler in Honor mode. I want to run a playthrough as Astarion, focusing on his character’s approval and disapproval—so I won’t be working with Dammon this time, but I do plan to include Minthara in my story. My backup option is to go with a classic Gloomstalker build. Any insights?

One of the most underrated features of the Swashbuckler is the Panache ability. It’s like a ‘come at me, bro’ move that not only helps in combat but can also be used outside of it like an infinite charm person, especially once you’ve got Reliable Talent unlocked just a couple of levels later.
Honestly, if you balance your party well and play smart, Astarion in whatever role can be effective. If your focus is on roleplaying, definitely go for the Swashbuckler!
