I’ve been really struggling with KCD2, specifically the forest mission in the “Storm” chapter. I usually don’t give up on games that I pay full price for, but this level has pushed me to my limits. I’ve restarted the mission over 20 times and I’m starting to wonder if this is the hardest part of the game or if it gets worse from here. Any advice on whether I should stick it out or move on to something else?

I actually had a blast with the Storm mission! I just took out enemies until things calmed down. Hiding in a cave until a guard checked it out worked well for me. Once I got to the open field, avoiding enemies was way easier since they couldn’t hide behind rocks.
Having some good knowledge of the area really helped me, especially since I was doing a side quest there. Using stealth gear and a night vision potion made it super easy for me. I mainly stayed at the edges where there are invisible barriers, and there weren’t many guards looking for me there.
The sneaking parts aren’t really tough until the end, which isn’t as bad as it sounds. For the Storm mission, just stick to the western edge of the area and follow the ridge. You’ll find it much easier to avoid the guards if you don’t engage them directly.
That part can be pretty challenging because of the torture debuff, which makes things harder. I avoided it altogether and found it manageable with a night vision potion and decent stealth gear. I mainly just dodged the guards and kept moving without getting into fights.
When I tried this mission with a poleaxe, I struggled a lot. But when I switched to Ataman’s sabre, it was a breeze slicing through enemies!
