Since the launch of Skyline Valley, I’ve been curious if anyone else has experienced or noticed a peculiar issue with the vortex in the sky above the valley. It seems like this vortex is actually solid and has collision properties. When a nuke is launched into the valley, the vortex stops it from hitting the ground, which causes the nuke damage zone to be located above the targeted area instead of directly on it. This is confusing because the game doesn’t register the impact zone on the world map properly since it’s floating too high. This occurs particularly during the neurological warfare event, where you can see the nuke zone effect, but it’s not shown on the map due to its elevation. Is anyone else grappling with this issue?

Interesting! I noticed that too. I actually launched a nuke at the weather station, and to my surprise, I got the ‘be at ground zero’ achievement without dying. I was in the waiting area for the event when it hit, and I thought that was pretty wild! Anyone else experienced this?
Honestly, this has been like this since the game launched, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s intentional. The devs probably wanted to add some quirky elements with the vortex. What do you all think?
Yeah, but it still feels a bit underwhelming not seeing the nuke actually hit and cause an explosion. Wouldn’t that add to the thrill?
