I recently got a One X for me and my friends, and we’re really enjoying it compared to our old 360 with our collection of over 100 physical games. We found only a couple of games we want to play on the Series X, and to be honest, we mostly play older games. So, if money isn’t a big concern, I’m wondering if the Series X is significantly better than the One X when it comes to backwards compatibility?

For sure, I’d say it’s a solid investment. The Series X can run most of the games beautifully, especially older titles like The Witcher 3 that now take full advantage of the improved hardware and very quick loading times. Just make sure to check which games have the enhancements!
Yes, the Series X stands out with features like quick resume and better performance consistency. Most backwards compatible games play significantly better on the Series X since it reduces issues like CPU bottlenecks that the One X sometimes struggled with. Even if some games aren’t enhanced, the overall experience is smoother.
Absolutely, the upgrade to Series X is worth it for a multitude of reasons. The switch from HDD to SSD means lightning-fast load times, and many backwards compatible games enjoy improved frame rates and resolutions. Even if you’re mainly into older titles, the performance boosts are noticeable and make for a smoother experience.
