I recently picked up an RTX 5080 for my build and I’m curious about pairing it with a Ryzen 5600X. I’m aiming for a budget-friendly build around $1500, excluding the GPU which I got at MSRP. The Ryzen 5600X was only $60, plus I got a used case for $35, 64GB of RAM for $90, and a motherboard for $160. Luckily, I have SSDs from a previous setup. How much do you think the Ryzen 5600X will bottleneck the RTX 5080?

With the components you listed, just give it a try and see how it performs! You might be surprised at how well the 5600X can keep up. Hope it goes smoothly for you!
While you have the budget for it, investing an extra $140 in a 7600X instead of the 5600X could offer better performance. But since you already found a good deal on the 5600X, it might be worth sticking with it for now. Just monitor your performance!
It looks like the Ryzen 5600X should handle the RTX 5080 pretty well, especially at 1440p. I found a video that shows the 5600X’s gaming performance is almost on par with the 5800X 3D, where the GPU still runs at 99% utilization. So, it might not be necessary to upgrade to a pricier CPU after all! Good luck with your build!
