I’m looking to build a small form factor PC and want to get the best components I can for around $1500. I’m considering pairing the RTX 5070 with the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, but I’m also looking at the Ryzen 5 9600X. My main focus is on playing FPS games at 1440p on a 360Hz monitor. Is this combo a solid choice?

If you can stretch your budget a bit, consider the 5070 Ti; that extra VRAM can significantly improve performance.
But adding that ‘bit more’ jumps the GPU price to around $1000! Plus, that doesn’t really help answer whether the 5070 is a good move for me.
For sure, this combo is awesome! The 7800X3D has room to spare, and while I’d suggest the 9070 for pure gaming, the choice is yours. Just keep in mind what games you’re playing!
Absolutely, if you’re aiming for high FPS in CPU-demanding games while keeping graphics settings reasonable, the 5070 and 7800X3D are a fantastic pairing!
I do want to run some story-driven games at higher graphics settings, plus take advantage of DLSS and frame generation, you know?
