Hey everyone! I’ve been diving into the Remaster and I’m curious—do you all think it’s actually easier compared to the original? I’m playing as a Khajiit using the premade Acrobat class, and I’m avoiding the usual optimal leveling strategies from back in the day. I’ve been focusing on non-combat skills and sticking to my class, and now at level 11, I’m finding most enemies pretty easy to take down. I’m still rocking leather armor and a steel bow, and I’m definitely not feeling the need to switch gear; everything goes down in just a few hits. I’m also playing on the default difficulty, no adjustments made.
Reflecting on my time with the original on 360, I remember enemies being tougher at this level. Am I just misremembering the difficulty spike? I’m really enjoying the game regardless!

Honestly, the balance feels off. It seems like you can pretty much break the game if you play right, but that can be part of the adventure, right? It’s all about how you approach it!
The game’s really based on how you want to play. Sure, leveling is more forgiving now, but if you rush and neglect combat skills, you might still hit a wall later on. Just gotta balance it out!
Yeah, they really toned down enemy health and damage in the Remaster! For example, Clannfear health was cut from 180 to 90, and their melee damage was dropped significantly too. It’s a lot easier this time around, especially on Adept difficulty.
If you think the Remaster is too easy, just wait till you hit Master difficulty. It’s definitely not a walk in the park! A lot of people talk about how you can use cheese tactics to make it easier, but that’s part of the fun.
Haha, cheese tactics are a classic move! But I totally get where you’re coming from; the challenge is what makes the game memorable.
Definitely easier! They’ve revamped the leveling system, so you don’t need to min-max like crazy to keep up. Skills level much faster, which means you can dive into combat a bit sooner than before.
True, but while the grind is less intense, I kind of miss that sense of accomplishment from working for those skill points.
Exactly! Those Clanfears were such a pain in the original, but now they go down way faster.
