Hey everyone! I picked up the PSVR2 about a year ago and have had some really fun moments with it, like playing Gran Turismo 7 in VR—it’s incredible, especially with the cool adaptive triggers and helmet vibrations. I’ve also enjoyed The Walking Dead, which I think is the best zombie VR game out there, and Before Your Eyes was such a touching experience.
However, I haven’t used the headset in over two months. I’ve skipped a lot of the new releases that don’t really appeal to me, and while Beat Saber is a classic, I’ve already played it on Oculus and PSVR1, so it’s not new for me. The image quality is improved, and the tech feels more polished, but there just isn’t enough in the game library that grabs my attention. I look at other headsets like the Quest 3 with exciting titles, and I can’t help but feel like the PSVR2 is being left behind.
I sold my PC and Oculus, so I’m all-in on PlayStation, but I can’t shake this feeling that I should sell the headset before it loses its value since I don’t foresee many big VR titles coming to PS5. Anyone else feel the same way? What did you end up doing with your PSVR2?

Totally get where you’re coming from. I dropped a lot on mine too and, even though I love Gran Turismo and RE4, haven’t found enough other games that keep me hooked. The cable can be a pain as well. I think if there were more standout titles, it’d be easier to recommend keeping it. I sold mine recently and went back to PC VR because the overall experience is just better for my tastes.
Yeah, PSVR2’s library does feel a bit lacking. Let’s hope they pick up the pace!
I’m with you on this. I bought mine at launch and barely use it now. The headset can be uncomfortable, and I wish it had more game variety. It’s mostly collecting dust for me. I enjoyed games like Rez, but the lack of compelling content makes it hard to stay interested. I ended up putting mine away for a long while since it just isn’t giving me the experience I was hoping for.
I haven’t sold mine yet either. But I did notice how it doesn’t compare to the Quest in terms of variety. I mean, the immersive experience is top-notch, but I feel like there’s a gap in exciting titles. I’m just waiting on more announcements before I make any decisions.
For sure! It feels like a waiting game now with so many potential titles promised, but we need the releases to come through to keep the interest alive.
Exactly. Hopefully, the developers step it up and give us some real reasons to stick with the PSVR2.
I actually think it’s pretty great! For me, games like Pavlov make it totally worth it, and there’s still plenty out there that I haven’t tried yet. If you’re into some multiplayer fun, you might reconsider hanging onto it!
Honestly, it really depends on what you’re into. If the games available don’t excite you, it might not be worth keeping. For me, it’s been worth it, even though I play it just occasionally. The support for PSVR2 seems stronger than for the first version, and there are cool titles like Synapse and Thief VR on the horizon. If you’re looking for more options, definitely check out some PS+ titles like Synapse if you haven’t yet!
I hope they keep supporting the VR for future consoles, too. It does feel like the PS5 and VR could do more together!
Yeah, I totally agree with you! Synapse is pretty fun, and the variety is getting better. It’s a shame there aren’t more must-plays yet.
That’s the struggle, right? I’m glad you found something better for you. I just wish PSVR2 had a better lineup to hold my interest.
