Hey everyone! I’ve noticed that my PS5 Pro makes a slight whirring noise even when it’s just sitting on the home screen or while I’m watching movies. It seems to happen every couple of seconds, and I’m not sure if this is a normal thing for the Pro model. I didn’t experience this with my regular PS5, so I’m a bit concerned. Is this sound typical for the Pro, or should I consider returning it?

Yeah, I’ve got a Pro too, and it makes that noise. It’s not harmful at all; it’s just the fan adjusting. If you check it closely, the fan speed stays consistent despite the sound.
It shouldn’t be making any noise at all. My PS5 from launch has been completely silent except for the sound of the disc spinning. If you can, I’d suggest taking it back.
My PS5 Pro is silent, no whirring at all. Sounds like you might have a defective unit if yours is making noise.

Nah, it’s actually pretty normal. My PS5 Pro has that same noise, and so do all my friends’ consoles. It’s just the coil whine; nothing to worry about!
