I’ve been really getting into PlayStation lately, but living where I do makes consoles pretty pricey. A friend of mine is selling his 1TB PS4 Pro with a game of my choice, and I’m torn about whether to get it. I thought about using it as a temporary solution until I can save up for a PS5, since I’m a student athlete and won’t have much time for gaming right now. So, I’m wondering, is it worth it to buy a PS4 Pro?

I think the PS4 Pro is a good choice, but I’d suggest thinking really hard about your budget. If you can get it for under $300, it’s a good deal for the amount of games you’ll have access to. Just consider how long you think it’ll take to save for the PS5!
Good point! I just found out that the prices for PS5 might drop soon, so maybe waiting wouldn’t be so bad.
It really depends on your situation. If the PS4 Pro is reasonably priced, it could be worth it for you right now. Just keep in mind that if you love gaming like most of us do, you might want to prioritize saving for a PS5 once you can. But if you can have fun now and worry about the PS5 later, go for it!
Yeah, I’m just looking for something to play temporarily.
Just remember that PS4 support isn’t going away anytime soon, so you’ll still have plenty to play!
Honestly, I think it’s still a solid choice! A lot of people are still enjoying their PS4s. The graphics and gameplay are still great, and you won’t miss out on too much while waiting to save for the PS5. Plus, there are tons of cheap second-hand games available that work brilliantly on it!
Totally agree! Just think about all the classic titles you can play without breaking the bank.
Exactly! You can still have a blast with a PS4. That’s the system I’ve been using all along!
In my opinion, if you can find the PS4 Pro around $200, it’s definitely worth it for the games you can play. Otherwise, I’d just hold out for the PS5. There’s a risk that more games could phase out support for the PS4 in the future, but honestly, it still has a massive library to dive into for now!
How much are they selling it for in your area? Might help you decide!
Yeah, as long as the price is right, it could keep you entertained till you get the 5!
If you’re really tight on funds, consider that newer titles are gradually leaving the PS4 for the PS5. But if you want to play tons of amazing games now, a used PS4 Pro is a great option, especially for under $300! Just focus on what works best for you right now.
Thanks for the advice, I think I’ll go with the PS4 Pro then!
Definitely! Enjoy it while you can!
