Hey everyone! I’m looking to buy a new PlayStation since my last one unfortunately broke down. I’m considering whether to go for a refurbished model directly from Sony to save some cash (plus, I kinda prefer the original design over the new look). I’ve heard mixed opinions about the Slim, and I’m just curious if it’s really worth the extra money compared to the older models. Is the Slim an actual upgrade, or are people just not impressed with it?

Honestly, the Slim isn’t really an upgrade. If you’re looking for more power, the PRO model is the way to go, but it’s just a sleeker version that has the same base performance. If you’re okay with the standard capabilities, either PS5 model will do the job for you! Just keep in mind that future accessories might only work with the new design.
Yeah, I agree! The Slim just means less space on your shelf, nothing more.
Nope, not an upgrade at all. It’s mostly just a smaller version of the original. If you like the OG look better, you might as well go for the refurbished models!
Yeah, smaller size doesn’t really mean better performance.
The Slim doesn’t really upgrade anything significant besides a little extra drive space, which might not be worth it unless you really need it.
True that! I think it’s all about preference at this point.
