I was playing co-op with my brother, trying to buy and sell gold bars for a profit at the pawn shop. I offered 18,000, and he accepted, but we noticed something strange: our balance barely changed—only about 7,000 instead of the full 18 grand. I thought maybe it was my character’s debt or something, so I tested it in my personal save. After trying various methods to raise the offer using the +/- buttons, I realized the pawn shop owner just got angry when my offer was below 18,000! My question is, is this a known bug, or are players really getting swindled at the pawn shop? Some YouTube videos claim it works, but my experience suggests otherwise. I eventually figured out I wasn’t making a real counteroffer when just typing the number, so I had to use the increment buttons to ensure it was counted. Anyone else noticed this?

Yeah, I had the same issue! It seems like you have to hit enter after typing your offer to switch it to a counter offer. It’s definitely a confusing setup and not very user-friendly!
I feel you on this! I thought I was messing something up too. It’s good to know I’m not alone in this! And hey, even if it’s a bug, it would be a funny little Easter egg if it was meant to be that way.
Right? It would at least make for some funny gameplay moments if it was intentional!
But isn’t it weird how the pawn shop owner goes nuts when you use the +100 buttons? That doesn’t seem to make sense!
