I’m considering whether the London premium cruiser is worth 2.5k doubloons, especially given my current setup. I’m more of a casual player focused on PvE, and my highest heavy cruiser is only T6 (the Peniscola and Devonshire). I’m planning on getting the Warspite from the upcoming event. Money isn’t an issue for me, but I really dislike how WG monetizes this game. Also, what are some good coal ship options for PvE, keeping in mind I won’t touch German or Russian ships?

If you’re only playing PvE, honestly, just skip London. The smoke can be helpful, but there are better ships out there like Gambia available for free right now. Plus, coal ships like Napoli are solid choices.
There’s a bunch of YouTube guides on the London. Personally, I find it just an average T6 heavy cruiser. It struggles a bit in PvP, and if you’re not interested in the camo, I’d hold onto your doubloons for something better.
I’ve actually enjoyed my time in London during ranked matches, even if she’s not the best. Some say the battle pass offers decent value overall with the extra coal and dock slots, but I’d only recommend her if you don’t have a better option like AL Montpelier.
Couldn’t agree more. A lot of people just overlook better ships because of nostalgia.
Nah, I wouldn’t go for it unless you’re a huge fan of T6 gameplay. Its turrets are kind of a joke, and you end up doing very little to Dreadnoughts. Instead, consider getting coal ships like Kearsarge, Azuma, or Tulsa; they’re much stronger for PvE situations!
Honestly, London isn’t the best choice. Her HE and smoke are nice, but the reload is pretty terrible, and her hull can be quite fragile. If you’re strictly doing PvE, you might want to look at ships like Atago instead, which can perform better in operations.
Yeah, that hull is really a letdown. At least Atago has its perks!
Plus, you can’t deny her fragile nature; she definitely has that ‘floating citadel’ vibe.
Right? Montpelier would be a much better pick, and she’s just two tiers higher!
