Is the Hylian sheild indestructible?

I have heard that it is possible to obtain the Hylian shield in Breath Of The Wild. Does the durability of this shield wear down over time or is it indestructible?

Unfortunately, all weapons and sheilds in Breath of the Wild can be worn down and lost. The Hylian shield is no exception to this, but there is good news. The Hylian shield is one of the most durabile shields in breath of the wild. It will last a lot longer than any of the regular shields in the game, but ultimately it will break, just like any other shield in the game.
