I’ve been playing through the game and I’m near the end of the storyline in the central map. Recently, I teleported back to the first map to grab some stars, and I was surprised to find it much more stressful than I remembered. The lack of clear roads, along with the BTs and mule camps in critical spots, really adds to the challenge. Has anyone else felt this way when revisiting the first map?

Yeah, the Wind Farm can be a pain during timed deliveries. It’s so isolated, and the BTs there can really mess with your plans. But I have to admit, using a zipline over the waterfall to see the Wind Farm from above is one of my favorite views in the game!
Hard disagree on that one! If you set up a zipline network, you can get almost everywhere without much hassle, except for the Wind Farm. That one’s a bit tricky without a line in place!
Exactly! It’s just about finding the right routes to avoid all the trouble.
I totally get what you’re saying! The first map can be tough, but the terrain is definitely more manageable than the central map. It’s mostly flat, without all the canyons and mountain snow, which makes setting up ziplines way easier too.
For sure! The mountains can really feel like the final boss of the game.
Exactly! Once you have a good zipline network set up, getting around becomes a breeze.
The first map pushes you into enemy confrontations more often than you expect. I think the design is meant to teach new players about dealing with mules and BTs before they have more room to navigate. It can feel really slow-paced, especially since you don’t have as many tools early on; I remember wasting so much time trying to perfect my runs there during my first playthrough!
I feel you! Ziplines make it so much easier to deal with that map, though.
I actually like the first map for the same reason – it feels like a good tutorial area. It helped me get a grip on the game mechanics before diving into the bigger areas. Just a heads up for anyone on the fence, the game really opens up after the first area!
Yep, I always tell people to at least push through to the second area!
Totally! That zipline ride is such a nice break from the stress of the deliveries.
