I’m looking to upgrade my GPU from a 3070 to a 9060XT with 16GB of VRAM, but my budget is pretty tight. I recently upgraded to 64GB of RAM, and now my GPU struggles with games like Star Citizen. Will this be a worthwhile upgrade, or should I consider something else?

Going for the 9060XT feels more like a side grade than an actual upgrade. The performance boost isn’t worth the cost. If your budget allows, saving for something like a 9070XT would be a much better choice! You’ll really notice the difference then!
The 9060XT is only a small step up, not really worth it in my opinion. If you can save up a bit more, aim for a 9070 or a 5070. Those will give you a much better bang for your buck!
Yeah, I was thinking that too. The 9060XT doesn’t seem to be a real upgrade.
Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend the 9060XT. You’re mostly paying for the extra VRAM, which may not give you the performance boost you’re hoping for. It’s better to save up for a more significant upgrade if you’re looking for better performance.
It’s really a mixed bag. Upgrading to a 9060XT only nets you a 5-15% increase in FPS, which isn’t substantial. You might want to consider waiting and going for something like a 9070 instead.
What do you think about the 7900 series?
