I’m considering trading my 4090 Blade for the new 5090 model, which has a lower wattage at 155w compared to my current 175w. Do you think the 5090 can still perform better or at least on par with the 4090 despite this difference in power? I’m worried about potentially downgrading, but my brother is interested in buying my 4090.

I feel like the 5090 could be a scam. Just because it has lower wattage doesn’t mean it’s going to perform better than the 4090. I’d be cautious about making the switch without solid benchmarks.
Honestly, the difference in FPS between the two might not be that huge. The new 5090 is thinner and lighter, plus it seems like the thermal performance could be better thanks to its redesigned vapor chamber and AMD tech. So, it might still be a solid choice if you’re looking for something more portable.
Switching to the 5090 might actually feel like a downgrade. I mean, the wattage difference usually translates to performance. I wouldn’t want to go for a new laptop that gets less FPS than what I already have.
I’m really interested to see the benchmarks before making any decisions. I’d hate to pay over 4k for a laptop that doesn’t outperform my current machine. Here’s hoping I’m pleasantly surprised!
