I’ve been hearing mixed things about Shadowlands lately. Is it really levelable again like before, or is it still a mess? I’m curious about how the zones feel and if the gameplay has improved since launch.

I think you can level in Shadowlands just fine now! The questing zones like Maldraxxus and Revendreth have their charm, but most of the issues were related to the Maw and Torghast at launch. Those problems have been largely fixed in later patches, but the damage to the community’s perception was already done.
Yeah, leveling is possible, but it can feel slow. There’s a lot of exposition to wade through at the start. Also, some aspects, like the renown system, are pretty clunky especially if you’re trying to get transmogs and level multiple factions.
Sure, you can level up! But honestly, while the zones themselves can look great, some of the quests felt repetitive to me—like just walking back and forth between NPCs. Overall, I’d say it’s okay for a one-time playthrough, but it might not hold up for multiple runs.
In defense of Shadowlands, not all was bad! While it broke some canon lore and introduced frustrations like daily grinds, I still found enjoyment through guild activities. The feedback on the expansion is valid, but there were some fun moments that kept me invested.
Shadowlands has its fans! The lore and culture are pretty deep once you start digging into it, and zones like Ardenweald are genuinely awesome. However, I get why others are critical, especially about gameplay mechanics like borrowed power and time-gated content.
