Hey everyone! So, I just grabbed a bunch of Resident Evil games during the Steam sale. I’ve only played RE5 and RE6 back in the day, but after finishing my first playthrough of RE2, I’m totally hooked! I’m about to start my second run of RE2, but I’m curious about Resident Evil 1. The graphics might seem a bit outdated, but is it still worth playing or should I just skip to RE3 after I’m done with the second run of RE2?

Honestly, skip RE1 and head straight to RE3Make and RE4Make. RE3 might not be as beloved as RE2, but RE4 is praised all around. You’ll have a blast with them! Just remember, RE1 is still a good game, so don’t completely forget about it.
I think you should definitely go for RE1! It’s quite different from RE2, but it offers a solid experience and a really cool story. A lot of fans consider it a classic. You could see it as a prequel to dive deeper into the series lore after enjoying the newer titles.
Nah, if you’re really into RE5 and RE6, then maybe just give those another go. I mean, I doubt they’ll match up to how incredible 2 is, but it could still be fun to revisit them with your buddy.
