I’ve been noticing some serious performance issues with DX11 ever since the release of patch 8. My setup includes a 3080 GPU, a 9900k CPU, 32GB of RAM, and a 970 EVO SSD, and I play on a 1440p 144Hz monitor with a mix of medium and high settings. I usually cap my FPS at 120 and have tried both fullscreen and windowed fullscreen with no difference. After patch 8, I feel like DX11 runs way worse than before. Camera movements have become juddery, and I’m getting more frequent frame time spikes, especially noticeable when I quickly pan the camera. In contrast, Vulkan seems much smoother with this patch as opposed to its previous micro stutter issues, but it’s still not as smooth as the pre-patch 8 DX11. I’ve tried reinstalling the game, clearing all mods and files, and changing drivers but nothing has helped. Is anyone else experiencing this?

I used to run Vulkan but had major crashes and bugs, so I switched to DX11 and it was fine until patch 8 hit. I’m on a RTX 4070 and Ryzen 7600 with 32GB RAM, getting 90 to 144 FPS on max settings at 1440p. It’s odd that you’re facing issues since your 3080 should perform similarly to my setup.
Yeah, I’ve also felt that the game is buggier since the last patch, and it seems like it runs worse than it did at launch. It’s kind of funny how some games like Elden Ring have similar issues. Are NVIDIA drivers messing things up for us?
Honestly, it’s hard to say. I remember that the game ran better for me around 5 months ago with patch 7. Since then, I’ve reinstalled Windows multiple times and tried a bunch of different drivers without any luck. Seems like it might be the game or the patch 8 itself that’s causing these issues.
I feel you! The last patch has made it freeze whenever I try to use an item directly from inventory, particularly with the controller UI up. I have to switch to keyboard and mouse UI to do anything, which is a hassle. The radial wheel is super laggy too. It seems like they broke quite a bit with that update.
Yeah, the performance is kind of similar, but I’m noticing some micro juddering in DX11 in certain spots when moving the camera. Vulkan hardly has that happen now, so it’s strange.
