I’ve been seeing a lot of people complain about Oblivion Remastered running at 30fps, with some saying it dips to 25fps, which they find makes the game unplayable. Personally, I don’t think 30fps is a dealbreaker, especially for a slower-paced exploration game like Oblivion. For context, I recently played Robocop on my Steam Deck at 25-30fps, and it was fine for me. I realize that racing games or fast-paced shooters need 60fps to really shine, but I feel like Oblivion might be different. So, I’m wondering, does the performance really hinder the experience? And do you have to set the graphics to the lowest settings to keep it at 30fps?

The performance is decent, but people often end up sacrificing a lot of visual quality for it. From what I hear, you’ll need to enable FSR, which can make the visuals look kind of blurry. So, are you cool with playing a potentially blurry game just to keep it at around 30fps?

Yeah, I think we need some side-by-side gameplay comparisons of the original and the remaster. If it’s a remaster, it should look significantly better. If it doesn’t, then what’s the point?
