I recently got the Oathbreaker exotic for my Hunter and I’ve heard mixed opinions. The bow charge perk seems really impressive, but I’m curious if it’s actually good enough to justify using an exotic slot. What do you think?

Honestly, Oathbreakers are pretty underwhelming for PvE. They mainly shine in Crucible since you can keep your bow drawn, but the damage buff just doesn’t stack up against firing multiple arrows. I’d say look elsewhere for your exotic slot unless you’re really into using bows.
If you’re into PvP, they might work for you, but in most PvE scenarios, you’ll find yourself better off just firing regular shots. The full draw time is a massive DPS loss, making them less effective overall unless you’re in specific builds that cater to them.
Actually, I’ve had some fun with Oathbreakers when using certain bows like Leviathan’s Breath. You can create some interesting builds with them, but yeah, you generally lose DPS by trying to maximize the Oathbreaker’s perk. Just don’t expect to get the most damage out of them.
True, but good to know it might work with Leviathan’s Breath, even if it’s not optimal.
Totally agree! If you’re serious about PvE, you might want to pass on these.
