I’m currently running a Nightblade setup and recently equipped a 5-piece Sergeant’s (using a lightning staff) and a 5-piece Deadly Strike set, along with a Slimecraw and the Oakensoul Ring mythic. While I feel this might be a killer combo for my Sorcerer, my Nightblade seems to be missing the mark. I want to optimize my damage per second (DPS) but I’m only hitting around 40k, which feels low given my gear is all purple and I have two gold body pieces and a gold staff. I’m using skills like Wall, Twisting Path, Relentless Focus, Dark Shade, and Debilitate/self-heal as needed. What am I doing wrong? Are there better sets I should be using, or strategies I’ve overlooked? Any advice would help!

I’ve experimented with Oakensoul on my Nightblade too, and honestly, it doesn’t shine like it does on Sorcerers. You get decent damage, but the survivability isn’t great. Plus, since Nightblades have skills that go off even on the back bar, you might want to consider running a two-bar setup, even if it’s for a heavy attack build.
Have you checked your blue CP tree? It plays a big role in maximizing damage. Also, make sure you’re eating the right food—I’ve found some meals make a noticeable difference in performance!
Yeah, I’m focusing my CPs according to some build guides I found online. At CP975 now and using melon-baked parmesan pork with a spell power potion, so I should be good there.
