Hey everyone! I’m only 13 and I’m trying to put together a gaming PC build but I currently have zero dollars. I’m wondering if this setup is any good, and if there are ways to make it cheaper without compromising performance. Also, I’m planning to keep the water cooling in the build. Here’s the part list I’m working with:
**CPU**: AMD Ryzen 9 7900X 4.7 GHz 12-Core Processor – $484.96
**Cooler**: Thermalright Aqua Elite V3 66.17 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler – $85.93
**Thermal Paste**: ARCTIC MX-6 4 g – $14.99
**Motherboard**: MSI MAG B650 TOMAHAWK WIFI ATX AM5 – $282.98
**RAM**: G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB 48 GB DDR5-6400 – $217.99
**Storage**: TEAMGROUP MP44L 2 TB SSD – $154.96
**GPU**: Gigabyte GAMING OC GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16 GB – $1299.00
**Case**: Antec C5 ARGB Mid Tower – $154.98
**Power Supply**: Asus TUF Gaming 1000G 1000 W – $232.99
**Monitor**: Asus ROG Strix 27″ 2560 x 1440 – $750.88
**Total: $3679.66**
Any advice on this build would be super helpful!

If you’re primarily gaming, do you really need a 12-core CPU? I’d recommend downgrading to something like the AMD Ryzen 7 7700X or even the 7600X, which could save you some cash without sacrificing too much performance. Also, consider that the sweet spot for RAM on Zen 4 is around 6000 MHz, so the 6400 MHz you have might not give you that much extra performance. For a GPU, the 9070 XT is a great option; it performs well and is around $949 right now. Yeah, this setup is mainly for gaming and some light schoolwork on Microsoft 365.
The only major change I’d suggest is switching your power supply from Asus to a Seasonic model. They tend to be more reliable and efficient. It might cost a bit more, but it’s worth it in the long run.
Can you recommend some specific Seasonic models?

I might lean towards Nvidia for the ray tracing and AI features, I like using that stuff for school projects!
