Is My New PC Build a Good Deal for Gaming in 2024?

-

I’ve finally upgraded from my old 7-year-old PC (GeForce GTX 1060 6GB) and put together a new system with these specs: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU, MSI MAG CoreLiquid A13 240 cooler, PowerColor Radeon RX 9070 XT Hellhound 16GB GPU, Asus TUF GAMING B650-E WIFI AM5 motherboard with DDR5 RAM, Patriot 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MT/s CL30 RAM, MSI SPATIUM M470 PRO 1TB SSD, DEEPCOOL CH560 DIGITAL ARGB case, Deepcool PL750D 750W 80 Plus Bronze PSU, and running Windows 11 Pro. The whole setup cost me about 8399 zł (~$2221). I’m curious if this is a solid gaming rig for the price or if I overpaid, especially with GPU and CPU prices constantly fluctuating. Also excited about finally experiencing raytracing!

Looks like you got a solid setup! That Ryzen CPU is still one of the fastest gaming CPUs around. And your GPU should handle 1440p and some 4K gaming well, plus AMD’s ray tracing support has improved. Price-wise, it’s reasonable given what you’re getting compared to inflated GPU prices nowadays. Just remember to keep your drivers updated and maybe tweak fan curves for best thermals if you want to push performance.

From what I’m seeing, that’s a pretty decent deal. The 7800X3D CPU is known for strong gaming performance, and RX 9070 XT is a great mid-high end GPU that won’t empty your wallet like the latest Nvidia flagships. Plus, 32GB of DDR5 RAM at 6000MT/s is future-proofing you nicely. The storage speeds are solid too, so load times will be quick. Overall, not bad at all! You’re definitely upgrading well from a GTX 1060 setup.

Honestly, your build looks good for gaming and multitasking, but 750W Bronze PSU might be a bit borderline if you plan on heavy overclocking or future upgrades. Otherwise, all the components you chose are pretty on point for the price. AMD’s 3D V-Cache tech on that Ryzen CPU is especially good for gaming workloads. So yeah, enjoy the massive upgrade and more than enough power to handle new titles smoothly.

You’ve put together a really solid build! The Ryzen 7 7800X3D is one of the best gaming CPUs out there right now, practically top-tier. Pairing that with the RX 9070 XT is a nice combo — you’re going to get great performance without paying insane premium prices like on the Nvidia 4080 or 5090 series. Around $2,200 for everything with those specs is quite reasonable in today’s market, especially considering you grabbed a sweet discount too. Should run modern games smoothly, and raytracing support on AMD cards has improved a lot.

Thanks for confirming! The discount really helped since I was nervous about dropping that much without knowing current market vibes. Pumped to see how raytracing looks on this build.
