Hi folks! I’m looking to upgrade my laptop RAM from 8GB to 16GB, but I’m unsure if the RAM I picked will work with my system. Here are my current specs:
– GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650
– CPU: Intel i5 10300H Comet Lake
– RAM: 8 GB DDR4
– Laptop Model: ASUS TUF Gaming F15 FX506LH-HN004T Bonfire Black
I’ve chosen the Kingston FURY SO-DIMM 16 GB KIT DDR4 3200 MHz CL20 Impact. Will this be compatible? Any advice would be awesome, thanks!

You should be good with any DDR4 RAM, just double-check that the frequency matches your current setup. That way, everything will run smoothly. Since you’re replacing both sticks, it shouldn’t be a problem.
If you’re planning to completely swap out your 8GB for that 16GB kit, you’ll be perfectly fine. Mixing different frequencies can cause issues, but with your setup of two new identical RAM sticks, it won’t be an issue. Go ahead and upgrade!
The RAM you picked seems like a solid choice. Just ensure you’re getting a matching pair, as it keeps the system running at optimal speed. Check out this link for potential upgrades as well: [compatible upgrade link].
