I’ve spent about 20 hours doing side missions and I’ve already hit level 22! It feels like the game really accelerates after level 20, and I’m wondering if I’ve messed something up. Is this leveling speed normal, or did I do something wrong?

You didn’t do anything wrong! They’ve tweaked the leveling system, so now it seems to progress much faster. Personally, I think it can get a bit tedious after a while, and by the time you hit level 20, you’re likely still working through the guild quests anyway.
