I’ve been thinking about getting into League of Legends, but I’ve heard that it can be really toxic for new players. I’m curious to know everyone’s opinions on whether it’s worth trying out. Is the player base still active? Given that the game is a bit older, how’s the community holding up? Thanks for your insights!

If you ask me, if you have friends to play with, definitely give it a go. Playing together can help ease the pain of the toxic side while you learn. If you need a casual gaming experience, it could turn out to be a fun time!
You might find League to be a double-edged sword. It’s well-developed and constantly updated, but yeah, you’ll face some negativity in-game. If you can look past that and just have fun trying to improve, you might really enjoy the challenge of mastering it. It’s definitely a game worth trying at least!
Honestly, if you think you’ll get frustrated easily, it might be better to try another MOBA first. League has its own flavor of toxicity that’s pretty rampant, so if you’re not into that, maybe look into something like Heroes of the Storm or even Dota 2. They have their issues too, though!
Give it a shot if you can! The community can be rough, but don’t let that discourage you. There are a lot of cool champs to pick from, and it’s all about finding your niche. Just keep in mind that you might want to mute chat for a bit while you learn the ropes.
League can be super tough to get into because of its competitive nature, but once you push through the initial rough patch, it can be incredibly rewarding! The new player experience isn’t great—you’ll likely face some tough opponents and get stomped early on. Just remember, it’s free-to-play, so if it doesn’t click right away, you can always try again or start a new account. Just prepare for some toxicity, but if you hustle, there’s a ton of fun to be had!
Right! Once you get over the learning curve, it’s such a blast. Glad I’m not the only one who feels this way!
True, but at least with friends, League can be a fun bonding experience even if it gets a bit salty!
