I just built my first gaming PC with a Ryzen 5 7600X and an RTX 4070, and I used to game on a laptop with an RTX 3060 and a 1080p monitor. Now that I have this upgraded setup, should I consider getting a 1440p monitor for a better gaming experience?

If you’re happy with 1080p and it meets your needs, there’s no rush to upgrade. But with your new GPU, going for a 1440p monitor would give you a nice boost in clarity and detail for gaming. It’s definitely something to consider!
Definitely consider 1440p! It’s especially good when using DLSS; you get much better performance at higher resolutions. Plus, a monitor with a high refresh rate will significantly enhance your gaming experience!
I would recommend upgrading, especially since there are some great deals on 1440p monitors right now. You don’t have to go for OLED unless you really want it—there are plenty of solid options out there!
Totally go for 1440p! It’s a significant upgrade over 1080p. Pair it with a 165Hz refresh rate and you’ll enjoy much smoother visuals. It’s definitely worth it if you’re into competitive or visually demanding games!
Given that your RTX 4070 can handle 1440p well, I’d say it’s a good time to upgrade. The improved visuals at that resolution are quite noticeable, and it opens up better performance options for future games.
