Now I’m contemplating whether I should switch to Sims 3, mainly because I’m feeling frustrated with EA. Can Sims 3 replicate the kind of creative builds I have in Sims 4?

In Sims 3, you can definitely create everything you mentioned and even build your own worlds, which is a huge plus! The build mode there is also way more flexible if you’re willing to dive in and learn the tools. Sure, there are awesome communities creating crazy stuff in Sims 3 like steampunk worlds, but just keep in mind that Sims 4’s off-the-grid system has its perks too.
Honestly, I don’t think switching just because of “EA bad” is worth it, especially after you’ve poured so much into Sims 4. If you’re looking to stop supporting EA, just hold off on new purchases instead. Plus, remember that while Sims 4 does have some limitations, it also provides features that Sims 3 can’t match.
