I could use some advice on whether I should upgrade my CPU. Here are my current specs: I’m running an i5 10400, paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER, an ASRock B560M-C motherboard, and I’ve got 24GB of DDR4 RAM. Despite having comparable hardware to others who perform better, my PC feels slower, and I’m concerned that my CPU might be bottlenecking performance. I know I’m limited to 10th and 11th gen CPUs due to the socket, but I’m not deeply experienced with PC components. What do you think?

I’ve got a similar setup with an i5 11400F and it doesn’t bottleneck my performance at all. You might need to take a look at other potential issues instead of just focusing on the CPU.
If your PC is feeling slow, it could be worth checking whether you’re using an HDD instead of an SSD. If you are, upgrading to an SSD could make a huge difference. And if you are on an SSD already, you might want to consider reinstalling Windows to clear up any performance issues.
Actually, I have an SSD! What I meant to say is that my FPS is way lower than others with similar setups but different CPUs.

Thanks for the input! By the way, what GPU are you using?
