I’ve been keeping an eye on GPU prices and models for a year now, and lately, AMD has been impressing me, especially with all the negative reviews surrounding NVIDIA’s approach to new releases. Currently, I’m gaming at 1080/1440 and looking to finally try out DLSS. The new 5060 Ti just hit my region at a price close to its launch cost, but I’m worried about how ongoing tariffs might affect prices. Am I just falling victim to FOMO? Should I wait to see what AMD has in store, or is my 1660 Ti too outdated to keep using?

Your 1660 Ti is only considered outdated if it can’t handle the games you want to play at the settings you like. Have you checked used prices? You could find a used 3060 Ti or 3070 for a good deal, which would be a nice upgrade. Plus, selling your old card could help offset costs.
Waiting for the 9060XT might be a good idea if it’s coming soon. But honestly, the 16GB 5060 Ti is solid and should handle 1440p gaming really well. Even the 8GB version will give you decent performance, although it might struggle a bit at higher resolutions. It’s a tough call!
Yeah, even a base model 3060 could give a nice boost. With the way the GPU market is, buying used can be a smarter move!
