Hey folks! I’ve got Diablo 4 and Last Epoch on my gaming laptop, but I’m running low on space and really want to jump back into Baldur’s Gate 3, which I’ve played before and loved. I’m considering installing it on an external hard drive from 2015 that I have lying around. Do you think this is a good idea, or will it cause issues?

You should be fine with that old drive! I use a pretty old SSD, and while textures might take a second to load during cutscenes or when I first enter camp, the game runs smoothly otherwise.
Honestly, I’d recommend getting an external SSD instead. If your laptop has a Thunderbolt port, go for a Thunderbolt drive or an enclosure to bump up performance with an NVME drive.
Haha, I made the switch from Diablo 4 to BG3 myself and haven’t looked back (seriously, screw Enchanting!). It’s a totally different vibe, but I enjoy both for what they offer.
