I’m concerned about whether it’s safe to put figures on top of my GPU. I have a double fan 4060, and I’m worried that the heat might melt them or that it could cause the GPU to sag. What do you all think?

For figures to start getting flexible, the air inside your PC would need to hit around 70°C+. If that’s the case, your cooling setup likely has issues, or your GPU is overheating!
Honestly, how hot do you think the outside of a graphics card gets? The GPU may reach 100-110°C at max, but the heatsink doesn’t typically get too hot to touch.
Thermoplastics, like those in toys, start melting around 100°C. Since your GPU will throttle before reaching that, anything sitting on it should be fine as the temperatures won’t get that high.
If the figure is lightweight and made of plastic, it shouldn’t pose a problem, especially if you use an anti-sag bracket. Just be cautious with heavier items!
Using a sag support bracket is a good idea, especially if you plan to put something on your card. It helps prevent damage from the weight, even on a 4060. I definitely recommend it!
You don’t really need a sag bracket for a 4060, but it’s always safer to use one!
Should I be really worried about melting? And is 3D printing a sag bracket a good option?

It’s a Hirono figure, and I don’t have a sag bracket. Can I and should I 3D print one?
