I’m weighing my options for buying the remastered game after the latest patch. My PC specs are pretty solid with a Ryzen 7 7700 CPU, GeForce RTX 4060 GPU, and 32GB of DDR5 RAM, plus I usually game on a 1080p, 180Hz monitor. However, I also have a PS5 that only runs the base version. I’ve heard mixed reviews about how the game performs on both platforms, so I’m really curious about other players’ experiences. Could someone share their thoughts?

Both platforms are having rough patches right now. If you’re looking for stability, I’ve noticed that Xbox has been running a bit better than both PS5 and PC at the moment.
I always prefer Bethesda games on PC. You get the benefit of fixing buggy stuff with console commands, which is a lifesaver for those game-breaking bugs.
If you want comfort and decent performance without dealing with settings, PS5 might be the way to go. But just be wary about the game balance; you might need mods to adjust difficulty if you want a better experience.
Your PC will definitely run this game like a dream! If I had your specs, I’d go for PC without a second thought.
Honestly, it’s a Bethesda game, so you can expect it to run poorly no matter where you play it. That said, I’m really enjoying the PS5 version despite some frame rate issues. I used to have a gaming PC but found that I prefer the simplicity of consoles these days, so I don’t mind those occasional hiccups at all.
Thanks for the insight! Yeah, I’m definitely bracing for some frame rate dips with whatever I choose, plus the whole classic Bethesda jankiness.
