I’m considering getting a PS5 Slim, especially since I really want to play GTA 6 on day one. I already have a high-end PC, but I’m curious about whether a PS5 would be worth it. Also, will it run smoothly on my 1440p monitor? How does the PS5 handle 1440p with AAA games?

You’ll likely get some solid performance, with options for ray tracing or 1080p at 60fps. It depends on your HDMI cable and TV, but like GTA V on PS5, you’ll have graphics settings to choose from. As a fan of the series, you might find it worth it. Otherwise, waiting for the PC version could be a good call too.
When it comes to 1440p, the PS5 might struggle. You could expect games to run at 30fps, upscaled from 1080p. I don’t have a 1440p monitor myself, but if you’re okay with 30fps and can tolerate upscaling, it could work for you. Just think about whether that experience is worth the price.
If you’re set on buying a new console, you might want to consider waiting for the PS5 Pro instead. It’s rumored to come out around the same time and might offer better performance for your games!
Yeah, but the PS5 Pro is way too expensive. I’m trying to keep my budget under 450 euros!
Just a heads up, it seems like GTA 6 is going to be locked at 30fps. If performance is your priority, you might want to consider that!
I’m not waiting for GTA 6! Does that mean all games at 1440p will be upscaled? I want an awesome experience regardless of the frame rate!
