I’ve heard that heal scourge has been nerfed recently, particularly regarding its reviving abilities and barrier applications. As a new player leveling up a necromancer, I’m curious if heal scourge still remains a viable option for barrier healing since I’ve always enjoyed playing as a barrier healer in MMOs. What do you all think?

Yep, heal scourges are still viable healers! The main thing that changed was the nerf to Transfusion’s teleport ability, which allowed you to pull downed players to you. However, this isn’t as big of a deal as it seems because now players use Garish Pillar more effectively before anyone goes down. Transfusion is still a solid source of healing, making scourges perfectly capable healers!
Absolutely, heal scourge remains really strong! The only nerf was to the revival aspect, and it can still do tons of healing along with barrier. You can also customize it a lot, like pairing it with different relics for better regeneration or damage. Just watch out for stability issues, but you can always team up with a quick herald or something to compensate!
For sure! They do miss some stability compared to heal chrono but the barrier spam is fantastic. Just a ton of sustained healing, making them really strong overall even with the nerfs.
Heal scourge is more powerful now! The nerf mainly hit the revival teleport, which is fine because you can now focus more on solid healing without worrying about constantly saving that skill. Plus, they have near-perma swiftness and improved stability overall, so they’re in a good spot!
Honestly, they’re amazing! One of my favorite specs for PvE. Even with full gear, they can heal exceptionally while dealing good damage. It’s a blast in high-end fractals where your team can just breeze through mechanics without much movement. Super fun to play!
Totally agree! Plus, with the teleporting out of the picture, we got more room for better AoE stability and healing. They might lack some boon support like Vigor, but they’re still great as healers.
