Hey everyone! I’ve been playing Fortnite Battle Royale and Creative (Reload) modes for a while now, and I recently heard about Save The World (STW). There’s a bundle available for 18€ that includes STW, and I’m wondering if it’s fun and worth purchasing. Can anyone share what the gameplay is like, how different it feels from Battle Royale, and whether it’s a good buy? Thanks in advance!

STW is kind of a unique blend — imagine Tower Defense mixed with a bit of Overwatch, featuring four different classes. The gameplay style is very different from BR or Reload, so it can be hit or miss depending on your taste. That said, for around 20 dollars, it’s a low-risk buy if you think the PvE angle sounds fun.
For what you pay, you essentially get a whole separate Fortnite game with its own story, characters, and a decent fanbase that still plays regularly. The skins and items from STW can also be used in BR, so there’s some crossover value. Just be prepared that the gameplay can get repetitive over time, but if you like the base-building and class mechanics, it’s worth it.
If you enjoy PvE games, Save The World is definitely worth picking up. It’s got a lot more depth than people realize—there’s base building, weapon and trap upgrades, and different hero combos to experiment with. It’s not just shooting waves of enemies; you get to manage resources and defenses, which keeps things interesting for a long time.
I’d say it’s an acquired taste. Some folks love it; others find it grindy and repetitive. If you’re used to BR’s fast-paced gameplay, STW will feel quite different—more strategic and slower paced. But if you want a decent PvE experience to jump into every now and then, it’s definitely fun. Plus, you unlock cosmetics that you can use in BR as well!
Honestly, it’s a pretty solid experience and offers a fresh change from the usual Fortnite modes. You get a story, missions, and a ton of content to grind through. Plus, you can earn Battle Pass XP in STW which helps across other game modes. Just don’t expect to make much in V-Bucks from it anymore, since the easy V-Buck grind has been cut out.
Thanks for clearing up the V-Buck situation. I was wondering if it still helped with the in-game currency.
