I’ve been replaying Fallout 4 and I’m curious about Fallout 76 since I never got around to playing it. I know it had a pretty rocky start and a lot of players complained about its live service and the Atomic Shop, but I’ve heard things have improved. I’m not really into building settlements; I prefer focusing on story content and missions. Should I give Fallout 76 a shot?

Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend it. While the map looks great and the weapons have improved, Fallout 4 just has better combat, story, and overall gameplay. Don’t waste your money.
Yes, but you might want to wait a bit! The community is going through a rough patch at the moment, so now isn’t the best time to jump in. But after that, you might find it pretty enjoyable!
Haha, yeah, I figured this might not be the best time to ask! What’s going on right now?
Oh really? That sounds rough. What’s up?
Yes, it’s totally worth it! I enjoyed Fallout 4 once, but Fallout 76 has improved so much that it feels like a better version now—especially with the addition of NPCs and a proper dialogue system instead of just limited options.
Save yourself the trouble; I regret getting into this game. They made it a money pit with Fallout First and the Atom Shop. Servers are often bad, and bugs don’t get fixed. Honestly, it’s not worth it.
That’s a bit harsh. It’s alright to start! Fallout First can help, but it’s not a dealbreaker. Bugs happen, but they’re usually fleeting.
Absolutely! Fallout 76 looks stunning, and on PC, it’s very playable now. They’ve added lots of content and a decent storyline. You can set up a small camp without diving deep into settlement mechanics, which is great for players like us who enjoy a good narrative over building.
For sure! It’s basically Fallout 4 but with more features. Sure, it has its issues, but they don’t ruin the fun. You’ll find plenty of activities compared to 4.
It’s a mixed bag. It’s exactly my type of game, with crafting and a fun open world, but it’s also super buggy at times and events can overwhelm you if you’re trying to focus on the main story. I’ve been in and out since beta and haven’t even finished the main quest because of all the distractions!
But why are you here if you prefer 4? Seems like a contradiction!
